Less Crowded

I think it will decrease the congestion at Del Mar Highlands. That mall is too crowded. I don't even go there anymore. I would probably start frequenting both areas if they were easier to access with less crowds consolidated in one place.

If you look at the information in the DEIR, you'll see that this is not going to happen. One Paseo is expected to be just as busy as the Town Center, and they're already projecting heavy traffic on "Main Street" (nearly 10,000 car trips per day!) Remember that Main Street is 2 lanes wide with parallel parking on the side -- how do you think that's going to handle traffic. Also recall that there will be around 13,000 cars going into the parking garages every day, and 13,000 cars coming out of them, all on 2 lane streets. It won't be pretty.
