It turns out that this is a realistic scenario that can also be met by employees who do not have IT education or do not have at least basic skills in this field. Here are some examples of positions that IT corporations also regularly recruit for.
Project manager / account manager
It is very often the case that outstanding programmers have very limited soft skills, i.e. they are simply unable to communicate clearly with a client who does not have technical knowledge. Hence, IT corporations badly need communicative people who can translate complicated IT formulas into the language of benefits.
Sounds very complicated, and in fact such work can be done even by someone who has never dealt with programming in their life. UX, or User Expierence, is a key issue in software design. The point is to make it user-friendly and easy to use, which will be judged best by someone who is not a developer.
tester The tester’s job is to look for gaps. He reads the supplied beta version of the software, uses it for a longer period of time, and records his observations. For example, if it is unable to find an essential feature quickly, that thing must be corrected before making the software available to the customer. The tester also checks the stability of the application.
IT corporations are recruiting non-stop, therefore they need people who can assess not only the substantive competences of the candidate, but also whether it will fit into an already functioning team in terms of character. Working in a good atmosphere promotes efficiency, which corporations are well aware of. In addition, the HR specialist deals with typical paperwork, and thus relieves the superiors, who can therefore focus on the core of the company’s operations.
